Film Production - Initial Ideas

So for our Film Production period we have been set a project to produce a two minute (rough) video which tells a story through a value and cause. I was told to avoid cliches as much as possible along with voice overs so narrative. I went onto a site called 1 minute movies which shows a number of independent film makers work, showing how power a single minute can be if you use it correctly.

So I decided to brainstorm a couple of ideas down on paper. I wanted to create a story which was complicated to the point where the viewers wouldn't necessary understand or tie all the elements of the video together till the final scene. Basically making the audience leave the video thinking that was very clever. I also wanted to produce a more artistic style of a film rather than a literal video.

There were three main ideas that I came up with, which fitted my specifications above. The first was the idea of catching eyes with some in a public place, and an instantaneous montage of all the scenarios that could develop from coming into contact with her/him. The second was idea of an addicting injecting a drug into his/her system and going on a bad trip. Then finally a video about the emotional struggle a person with a stutter or someone suffering from anxiety has to speak up. My favourite was definitely the last one because I had the idea of filming this "emotional struggle" in an artistic style to have random acts to represent the roller coaster going on in this persons brain.
